About POP Gallery Denver

POP Gallery has relocated to the renowned Downtown Denver Arts District at 767
Santa Fe Drive, in Denver, CO.

Our vision past to present: Established in 2007 as Santa Fe, New Mexico’s first cutting edge gallery, Pop raised the bar locally drawing established and emerging New Brow Contemporary artists to Santa Fe from around the world. Founded by Michael McDowell and Sharla Throckmorton McDowell who together have over 30 years experience in the Santa Fe and International art
communities. We have curated some of the most relevant Mod-Western and Contemporary exhibitions in the market to date. Our vision is rooted in providing art lovers with a thought provoking alternative. Rising from the underground world of tattooing and graffiti, comics, cartoons, pop art, illustration, and surrealist artists, the art showcased feeds of the blend of influences and energies well cemented in today’s culture. In essence, Pop Gallery continues to represent a celebration of mediums and ideas, the dynamic union between independence and spirit, the emergence of sub-culture on a contemporary platform. Pop Gallery is simply an opportunity to connect diverse creatives with purveyors of the unique.

Artist Submissions

We are currently reviewing submissions from New Brow Contemporary artists.

Given that decisions are not made on site, and that gallery hours are reserved for clients and retail operations, we prefer online submissions and look forward to meeting you soon. If we feel your work is a particular fit we will contact you for an interview. Send high quality images of current and past work with full captions, your artist statement and complete CV that includes your education, exhibitions, gallery representations, awards, teaching, collections and publications. Include your website if you have one and complete contact information including mailing address, email and phone.

Please email submissions to:
POP Gallery Denver
Sharla@popsantafe.com with Artist Submission in the subject line. We will respond if we feel the work meets our criteria for an interview. Due to the heavy volume of submissions regretfully we cannot respond to all submissions.Thank you- Sharla & Michael

We are happy to be part of the Art District on Santa Fe

Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe represents hundreds of artists, galleries, and creative businesses featuring rotating art exhibits and cultural events.
The First Friday Art Walks are the highlight of Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe, happening monthly, rain or shine, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Explore art in galleries, studios, alleys, and streets, spanning from 13th to Alameda Avenue and Kalamath to Inca Street. Easily accessible via the Light Rail Station at 10th and Osage, with free parking available, but traffic is heavy during First Fridays, so ride shares and public transportation are encouraged. Special parking options are available from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Stationary street vending is not permitted without a permit. Contact the Department of Excise and Licensing for food truck permits. Dogs are allowed in galleries and studios on a case-by-case basis. Check with gallery owners before bringing pets.
Santa Fe Drive closes from 7th to 12th Avenue every August for a special First Friday event. Interested in sponsoring or vending? Email hello@denversartdistrict.org.
